Guys, as some of us have learned the hard way, tire manufactors' s "claimed" width and sidewall numbers aren't universal
for example brand A might advertise a 315 tire which is an in wider than brand B's 315 tire
so based on MY experience... (based on a 315/25/19)
ill post some pics tomorrow
A Toyo tire is about 1/4" narrower than their claimed numbers...
A Michelin tire is about 1/4" wider than its claimed numbers..
A yokohama AVS tire is 1" NARROWER than its claimed numbers...
Pirellli is about 1/2" narrower than their claimed numbers...
I heard FALKEN is NOTORIOUSLY wider than their claimed numbers .. any truth to this ?
what about the rest of em ? bridgestone ? continental ? Goodyear ? Nitto ? etc
