Please tell me my HRE wheel is repairable
Can't believe I didn't see the weird curb/median near this on-ramp I was entering tonite...
It's a pretty big dent, but I could not feel any vibration or any issues on the way home about 10 miles after this happened.
I don't know what can and cannot be fixed. This is their monoblok wheel if that makes any difference...

yeah and 3 of my wheels have various issues so maybe I will just try to knock it all out at once. Might hurt the wallet tho!

Hey Flash,
That's a pretty good one. You will definitely want to send it in and take a look at it. My guess is that you won't be able to fix this one. The main concern would be the structural integrity of the part after it has been fixed.
Give me a call and I will get you in touch with Vince to look it over.
Oh also, from the look of the damage, it seems you probably did the damage to the edge only and didn't probably didn't create a "bend" in the rim. If you don't have high runout, then you won't get any vibrations.

No, we would not weld the product. The re-heating of the material will reduce the strength of the product and cause a potential crack. Typically we will try to "buff" out any scuffs or scrapes, but this one seems to have altered the outer portion of the rim too much and will more than likely not be repairable.
Until we see it first hand we will not know, but it looks like it pushed the outer portion of the rim in quite a bit.
