If your having seal problems with your modular wheel 9 X out of 10 it's the tire installer using an old tire changer or they hit the seal with the tire bar, because they don't know any better. Modern tire machines will not even touch the outer rim and no tire bar/iron needed. As far as one piece or 3, it depends what's of value to you. If you damage a one piece wheel you have a nice $1,500 hose rack for your garage. Modular hopefully you can send it in for repair for a 1/3 or 1/2 of the cost of a new one. Is the extra 1-2 pounds of weight saving worth the extra money for a one piece?

3 piece leak

I had 3 piece wheels and they always leaked some air. I went monoblok which were lighter and care free

It all depends on what you are looking for in a wheel. Monoblocks are lighter, but when it comes to damage, 3 piece are easier to repair.

Mono-Blocs = No leaks / Stronger / Light Weight.

What about 2-piece wheels?

Not too many make these, but I've been looking around for them. No leaks (you don't get the large configuration selection, but you do get all of the aesthetic looks of a multi-piece wheel).
