Damaged wheel

Hi everyone, I noticed a damaged wheel on my car - I can't make out whether it's damaged due to a scrape / chip or whether it's been done by using the car wash / corroded?
It looks like a scrape / chip any thoughts? Also how best to fix it?
I'm based in the UK, Birmingham.
Thanks

Real quick, it looks like corrosion.

Tape the surround of the area, leaving a mm or 2 outside the edge of the area. Take 500 grit sanding paper. Wet the sand paper a little and sand down the area until no more white residue shows.

Then either get an aerosol paint match, or a touch-up paint that matches the color and apply.

That's how I'd deal with it.
