This is what I've done to the car as of 9/26/09.
Removed rear seats completelly plus seats belts
-Switched to replica CF GT3 seats
-Cats and straight pipes
-Stock twists with Nitto 555rs on the back Sumitomos on front
-Rear wiper delete
-Braile 14lb battery
-no spare, no tools
-PSS10's
-Techquipment Cage
-rear matt removal

Tips are well into the 3500's in reality. Manuals are around 3475-3495 depending on options (PCCB, Sunroof etc.). Those weights are with some gas though. I'd imagine an empty stock turbo "could" weigh in about 3415-3420, that's no removal of spare and such. And that's benefit of the doubt.

Hey heavychevy (or anyone),

Was there ever a confirmed weight difference published here for the standard seats versus the sport seats? Thanks guys.

Oh, I did search and found a few references to weight here (in a thread I was already interested in), but nothing too concrete.

I am going to weigh my factory seats and then weigh my GT3 replicas as well. I will post it in the next few weeks. But factory seats are different. I have the ones with all the bells and whistles which weigh more than the sports.

I had sport seats and they were about 42 lbs a piece. I've never had the full power seats to weigh them against though.

Thanks a lot heavychevy. If we can successfully cross-reference this with the post quoted below by VividRacingTX, then we can assume (I know, I know) that the sports seats are indeed about 19 pounds lighter per seat than the standard seats. If we can confirm these weights, it would be great if you could list them in your 'master list' at the beginning of this thread?

Thank you VividRacingTX. I'm also going to assume that you were talking about standard seats with power and heat, which is exactly what I have in my own 996TT. If this is incorrect, please let us know.

I just remember that the shipping weight for the sports seats was 95 lbs and they had the rails and everything attached. My weights are approximate, but I'm pretty sure they are around 40-45 with and without rails respectively. Someone can weigh to confirm but I can add them as an approximation until someone can confirm.
