Someone will say the Lambo was handicapped with a passenger's weight, but I don't care. I have been looking for some video of the TTS against some competitors. There is a ton of stuff with the 997 TTS but almost nil with the 991.

Porsche is 100lbs heavier, has 140hp less, less displacement, 6 fewer cylinders....And half the price. Impressive if I may say so.

The pdk launch is amazing. Car is shot like a catapult.

Here is the Turbo S from a roll against a Speciale. The 200 pounds they shaved off the 458 and the additional 45 hp help. The Torque of the Turbo is what helps it walk away from a roll. In the video below the 991 pulls on the Speciale twice



I have also seen the video against the black Speciale with different results against the 997 Turbo S.


I unfortunately will be unable to test my TT in the mean streets of Dallas at these speeds because i would like to hold onto my license.

 

I will be racing all comers on Oct. 24th at the upcoming Shift Sector 3 Airfield event. Should be interesting.

 

CPI have you done anything to the TTS yet? Bringing the 458 as well?

 

Yeah, its running the GIAC tune and GMG exhaust. I've also lowered it on Techart springs. I'm not taking my 458 to the races. My son and I ran the TTS stock against my 458 on an open road and the TTS is clearly faster. No need to embarrass my beautiful Ferrari in public.


I am however talking my modded e92 M3 to race my son's stock f80 M3. That should be an interesting race.

Anyone notice the 991 turbo in the Speciale vid isn't in Sport Plus? wing is lowered and front lip is raised. Still pulled away. I love it!

Also if you listen closely you can tell the PDK is a tad bit quicker than the Ferrari's gearbox. I never thought about it since they're both Dual Clutch but wow.

You can be in sport plus and then manually retract the spoilers. It also looks like the TT took off first.

 

Interesting races. However, in the above video, the silver Turbo clearly jumped the red Speciale by quite a bit. Not saying the Turbo wouldn't still have won, though who knows, but the race certainly would have been closer. Though stated that the Turbo pulled the Speciale twice, it looks like the video featured one race shown from different camera shots.

Not trying to start an argument here about which is the quicker car, but win or loose, the races should be fair. Otherwise, the results are clouded. It could mean difference between one car being clearly quicker or slightly quicker than the other.
