Built 996 M96 Engine for FI?

Does anyone have a fully built m96 engine for forced induction (turbo/s or supercharger)?

If so would you please share your build specs with me. I'm looking to find out piston cr specs and what internals were used. I am right now at the begining of my 996 build.

Shop: 9XX Motors
Engine Builder: Jason Chott

What I do have is this:
3.4 engine getting iron sleeves w/ larger bore
3.4 crank (custom grind stroke slightly longer than the 3.6 996 crank shaft)
3.6 pauter rods
heads are getting 3 angle valve job with port and polish
EBS springs w/ titanium retainers
Dual pump fuel system for e85
single turbo setup w/ t4 60-1 (will posibly change out to a gtx40 or gtx42r)
ARP2000 Head Studs
ARP2000 Main Bolts

Whats up in the air is this:
piston - arias or je (both ceramic/mly coating), 9.5:1 or 9.0:1, 99mm or 100mm
camshaft (stay with stock or get a custom grind)
clutch (twin metalic disc aasco/tilton)
Stock TB 74mm or do the ipd plenum with a 997 GT3 TB 82mm

yes, but i dont think LN will share with me the detals of the builds. Thats why i was hoping that a member here has done it that wouldn't mind sharing some helpful advice. Bisi @ bisimoto did one but he personaly hasn't touched base with me yet. I belive he used iron sleves but keeped it a 3.4 w/ stock 96mm bore. They made 771hp w/ 14.48psi but i dont know if that was engine hp or dyno at the wheels.

I have had great success with the M96 engine, and can assist you significantly, by taking the guesswork out.

Arias is my piston of choice, with many years of racing and street success. I used to have a sponsorship with the other company you mentioned, and left due to a need for higher tolerances and consistencies. I have been pleased with the engineering department at Arias, and their exacting standards of quality. I stayed with the factory bore size, on my 9.0:1 coated pistons.

The setup initially made well over 1000whp with dual 64mm turbos, but was very laggy, and not fun to drive. With the dual 61mm billets, at only 11.4psi, I saw well over 700hp, with amazing drivability.

That larger throttle body is ideal, as I run an electronic 83mm custom DBW unit.

Factory cams are ok, but you can make more power, with less boost with a proper cam profile. We can help you there as well.

I also stock 1000cc injectors, with excellent atomization, and response.

My team and I can be a great asset to you, especially when it comes time to choose injectors, oil, camshafts, pistons, and a turbocharger. Let me know what you need, and we will be more than happy to help. Thanks.

thanks for the response Bisi. What would you suguest for a single turbo size?
ive looked into a gt4094r (77mm/94mm) or posibly a gtx42 but it may be too big.
bty i just sent you a PM

It highly depends on the your power goals, and purpose of your build (street, street/strip, race, dyno queen, et cetera). I would high recommend a custom turbo opposed to shelf units, and in my experience Turbonetics is the best. Military drones use them, and you know how precision is paramount to the goverment. I will respond to you PM, as soon as I get into the office. Thanks.

BTW, what are you doing for injectors, and pumps?

Street setup. So mostly roll racing from 60mph.
The fuel system I copied from some of the turbo guys on this forum (m3ental and prodigy) using a radium antisurge tank and two Bosch 044 pumps.

The Injectors I have are Siemens Deka 80lbs. But I may uses a FIC 1100 inj.

The biggest hold back for me will be using a single turbo setup for at least 6months or soo till I have more funds to do a twin tubro setup and I do venture down the twin route I dont know if there is any where I could fit some air-air IC that would get enough airflow to be productive. So I may have to stick to water/air.

Bisi, where did your source your X51 upper aluminum intake manifolds from? The best price I have found was $360 ea new from porsche. On monday I'm going to call around to some of the dismantlers to see if they have any for less.
By the way do you have any videos running the blue911 in the 1/4, im curious what mph/time you were trapping.

OEM crankshaft is marginally strong enough for this FI project. Offset grinding it will make it much weaker by reducing diameter of the rod journals & require custom undersize connecting rods.

I guess I was a little vauge and not clear when I said "custom grind". I am not using an offset grind to increase stroke, we did a welded crankshaft that was grinded and polished to increase stroke and keep the same diameter rod journals then send it of to get heat treated. The rods are pauter 3.6l length rods that come with arp2000 hardware.

So here is the most recent update on my 3.9L single turbo build. My factory aluminum cylinders are bored out ready for my new iron ductile cylinder liners that will be installed next.

Hey stephan is it a 6266 turbo? if so what A/R exhaust housing are you using on that turbo? I read some where about your build that you changed the GT35 that comes std with the VR kit to the 62mm turbo. How did it differ on the dyno?

402rwhp w/ 368tq @4.5psi on a mustang is good on a stock bottom end.

I was looking at an FP HTA3788 (6466) or HTA3794 (6766) because they are there billet wheel, twin scroll, ball bearing turbos with the compressor housing for $1699
