Turbo model trunklid on c4s

I recently looked at a trunk lid but turns out it fits a 996 turbo model. At first i thought no big deal cause my car is a c4s which is the same body as the turbo. Turns out i guess I was wrong. Can anyone tell me why this will not fit on my car? Im not worried about the duct work. Im talking just the outer fitment. The taillights, quarter panel and bumper are all the same.

I thought it would fit. What leads you to believe that it won't?

I called wicked motorsports to buy the 997.2 gt3 rs deck lid and wing that they list for the turbo. I called cause I thought it was weird they didn't list the c4s. When I spoke with the guy he said it won't fit and that he would have to make one for my car. He wanted almost 6 grand to make my decklid. That's more than I want to spend. I'm sure that's what the guys time is worth but I thought long and hard about it and I just couldn't justify that kind of money for that spoiler.

Now I'm looking into what it would take to install the turbo decklid that he sells onto my car and just buy that one from him and do the work myself.

Oh, ok. I would think the 996 turbo lid would fit fine.

I thought the same thing and in a way still think it might fit just fine. I guess I was hoping someone was going to say they've done it before and it fits fine lol.

the c4s rear reflector is diff than the turbo. This may be the fittment issue as well as hydraulic Rams on turbo spoiler.
the metal piece which houses the 3rd brake light is much wider on the c4s than on the turbo. The decklid is different than the C4s decklid as is the space that fits it. Intake and fan placement issues as well. I'm sure you could mod it, just not gonna be a bolt on scenario.

01-05 PORSCHE 911 996 TURBO REAR ENGINE COVER TRUNK DECK LID BLACK W/SPOILER OEM

There are two on ebay. I don't know why they won't fit. I saw a car last year a C4S with a turbo spoiler. It sure looked good.

Bernard, I'm actually looking to get a 997.2 gt3 rs wing for my c4s. No one makes it for the c4s but it is made for the turbo model. I called and asked if it would fit and I was told no.

My buddy has a 997.1 and put a 997.2 gt3 rs wing on his car. The place he bought it from (not the same place I called) told him it wouldn't fit his car but it fit perfectly. I was hoping someone on here would tell me basically the same thing.
