Wrapping the hood; anyone?
#2
Here are a few cars that have wrapped hoods. The 991 is red carbon fiber and the 997 (mine) is brushed steel. I like the look and it protects the paint. If you go with carbon, make sure to use a reputable installer. If the material is overstretched during the install, the carbon fiber look gets distorted.

Use the 3m 1080 black carbon. Its the best material, IMO, and it needs very little stretching due to the micro holes imbedded in the sheet for bubble removal. It also cleans up very well with 91% iso alcohol if you get any way on it and has some of the best UV stabilizers.
I would suggest having it the carbon wrapped again in clear if you want the shiny look and it will pretect the grain of the carbon.

I don't think it looks too bad myself . I also did my Roof, Fuel door cover ,Outside pieces of GT Rear Wing and the front housing for GT-3 front bumper LED lights all in in Matte black . I have seen some Cars in the White with the matte Black and it looks Excellent so if you change it my suggestion is the Matte Black instead of the CF and possibly do the front hood and the roof .this also protects these areas from crock chips
