Last minute advise - 2 days from order!

Hi All,

Been on this site religiously the past year or so getting ready for the next acquisition. I must admit that I am NOT an SUV type and the thought of spending 100K+ on an automatic truck keeps me up at night. However the wife and I have agreed that we need an SUV around especially with the move to the new house. While I would love to go with the V6 manual I just felt that after testing the V8 - it kind of needed 400hp to stay fun (not to mention the nice growl). I must admit that I loved the naturally aspirated V8 pull; everything around me these days seems to be turbo charged and it was nice to get that similar M5 feeling I had with gradual predictable acceleration; not sure how the 2011 TT is. Its a stunning ride and I can see how it will work so great on shopping days - pretty pumped! Yes, my ego is telling me go TT but my wallet and heart is telling me stay S - besides leaves nothing for next .

We are financing/buying the CS because Porsche leases suck if you really spec out the vehicles - which I think we did. Not to mention I hate being locked into leases, drives me nuts!

2011 Porsche Cayenne S w Tip Designed
Ext. Colour: A1 - Black (didn't like metallic, want it flat)
Int. Colour: MC - Luxor Beige
Warranty: 4 yrs / 80,000 km

92AAH1 - Cayenne S w/ Tip $76,000.00
PV3 - Comfort Plus Package $16,540.00
3FU - Panoramic Roof System $2,520.00
4F6 - Porsche Entry and Drive $1,490.00
0AW - Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) $4,790.00
1Y1 - Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) $2,030.00
CK0 - 21-Inch Cayenne SportEdition Wheel w/ Whe $6,640.00
QV4 - XM Satellite Radio $1,030.00
TOTAL MSRP $111,040.00 (Canadian rip off - I know)
($5000 currency discount and $1500 nice guy discount)

The only option I did not get that the dealer told me to was the bose system & ball hitch (just incase). I like my music but we listen to XM Radio 100% of the time - I doubt there will be that much difference between the base setup and the new one -not like I am use to anything better in the 1 series or RR. Keep the $3600 for winter tires.

One last piece I was considering is a sports exhaust but at 111k I can't muster to go any higher. Maybe something after market in the future will be a possibility. Any helpful thoughts on my config? Also a little encouragement I feel like I am ordering blindly so if any of you have a similar spec please share your stories.

P.S. Addicted to this forum!

Arrow May sound crazy to you, but...

...I'd much rather have a sport exhaust than a panoramic roof.

After having a panoramic roof in my Mini Cooper S JCW would never get panoramic roof again.

It was like driving in a microwave oven.

Delete the roof... get the exhaust.

Thanks ...

Good point, however I live in Canada . Its 0 degrees celsius today

Quick question, with the manufacturers sport exhaust can I open and close it? So when the wife is driving she can't possibly complain its too loud - because I would love it!

Hey, I would definitely get the bose sound system...if you love music it's worth it!! When it comes to winter tires, give me a shout when you buy....I have a distributorship for tires/rims and get really good prices, for example I bought brand new 18-inch turbo twist rims and full winter tires for my wife's Cayenne S which comes completely mounted and balanced for under $2,000 CDN including taxes ect.

If interested PM me or give me a call 416-717-1812

Thanks a bundle will definitely take you up on the offer. So, I splurged today and added the sport exhaust, compass, and full leather (Umbar/Cream). I figured that if we are not getting a replacement for the 1er till atleast September 2012 then I should find a way to be excited about the CS even though I am above budget (happens ). The TT starts to be something you consider if you are that high up in price but I can find lots to do with with the 25k+ difference - besides, what would be next

TTYL and thanks for everyone's input. Pictures to come. Very very excited!!

If you like music you should at the very least go with the Bose. There will be a 20K price difference between a fully loaded Cayenne S and a fully loaded CTT. To many it is worth the price difference. I went with a fully loaded CS.
