What to check before the warranty expires?

The CPO warranty on my 2009 V6 is about to expire so I was wondering if there is anything I should get the dealer to check out and repair so hopefully I can reduce my expenses down the road.

The car now sits at around 50k miles and I've owned the car since 29k. So far the car has been running great with no issues at all (knock on wood)

Any inputs much appreciated!

Only thing that I can think of that goes out close to that age and mileage is the Interior Heater/AC fan. It will start squeaking like a mouse.

Check your wallet! Eventually you will need to open it at some point.

A couple months after my warranty expired, some thermostat went for me which ended up being something like a $1000 repair (parts+labor) at the dealership.

Be sure to pickup a Durametric. Well worth the investment as you can read/reset codes on your own and do some other fun stuff with it.

Otherwise, keep to the maintenance when when you feel/hear something odd, don't ignore it. I take my car to the dealer once a year for a checkup/annual maintenance. Average cost is $500ish. I do some maintenance on my own (brakes, battery) to save.. the brake job alone from the dealer is a fortune.

Porsche announced that they can offer a additional extended warranty to any, yes any, vehicle 2007 and newer. 2007 vehicles are able to receive a bumper to bumper warranty for 1 year and 2008+ vehicles are able to extended their warranty an additional 2 years. They haven't released pricing yet, as I'm sure the p tax will kick in but it may be worth it. One stupid repair could take care of the cost of the warranty ya know. Plus peace of mind knowing that the warranty is there. I don't know of any other brand that will take a care off warranty and give it a warranty.

Also, to get to your question. Make stuff up. The suspension squeak when you go over bumps. The ac doesn't blow as cold as it should. See if they find stuff and fix it by you doing this. I've had motor mounts actually replaced that I didnt know needed replacing doing this.

This information is true, they will be announcing it by the end of this month, early April. Call your dealership and ask.
