Questions about lowering Cayenne with H&R Springs
I have a 2008 Porsche Cayenne V6 without the air suspension. After upgrading to 20 inch wheels 275/45/20, I now want to lower the suspension so I ordered H&R springs which will drop the level about 1.6 inches. My questions are as follows:
1. Has anyone had these H&R springs installed?
2. Did you install new struts when you had the springs installed?
3. Did you install the springs on OEM struts or on aftermarket struts such as Bilsteins?
4. Did you have to have a camber kit after the springs were installed and the wheels aligned?
Any help would be much appreciated.

I did installed h&r to my 957 a week after installing 20" wheel and since only lowered 1.5" or so... its not a big diference..didn't change camber nor struts. to me wasn't lower enough. Ride, no big difference just slightly stiff... I wish I knew any better and I wouldn't have spent on the h&r...so I will buy bc coilovers to drop it more... mod bargains have really great deals and if you are in L.A. installation it's also great deal I'll try to post some pics with the h&r later this week... good luck!

Would like to see the pictures. I thought about the coil-overs, but I don't really want to spend $3,000+ for the coil-overs, $500-$750 to have them installed and another $200 for an alignment. I figure with the $300-$400 H&R springs, $700 for the install and alignment, that should be good enough for a drop of about 1.5 inches.

Hey grdlaw, I don't know if the question was directly to me. bc racing coilovers are $1000 at www.modbargains.com usually $1300 or more everywhere else. I dont know if you live in this area of L.A. cause modbargains charge $200-$300 to install. I did some research about bc racing and for what I saw and hear they are really good. My pics are too big don't know how to adjust
Btw dem1001 your Cayenne looks great! Are those coilovers or air suspension?

That looks great! I looked at the BC Racing on modbargains and that is an option I'll consider. I live in the Chicago area so I'll have an indy shop install and align. I already have the H&R springs but haven't installed them. I may have the springs installed on my OEM struts and then get an alignment and see what happens. If I don't like them, BC Racing coilovers may be my only option.
BTW, are these pics with the H&R springs or the BC Racing coilovers?

The pics are with the h&r springs and I got a little upset cause I didn't see much of a diference from before. Thats why instead of spending on the h&r and installation might as well go with the bc racing coilovers... post pics to see your cayenne. I want to see if it looks lower than mine good luck!

I'm fairly confident that the struts on my cayenne are relatively new. I bought it used last year with 88,000 miles and it looks like the struts and springs have been replaced. Since the H&R springs description says it is designed to work with stock springs, I'll give it a try.
