New GranTurismo Owner
Hi all,
I believe I just purchased one of the most gorgeous car on the road. Coming from a background of Porsche's, from air cooled 911's to the Macan Turbo, I thought adding a "driver's car" to the stable would be fun.
She's a 2008 GranTurismo with the MC Sportline body kit on her with black birdcage wheels.
Currently in transit from Tucson, Arizona to my home in New Jersey.
Had a PPI done and there were a few issues the dealer fixed for me (wiper motor was bad and new rear tires). With the exception of a scratch on the trunk and the stereo **** being messed up, she's pretty flawless. Also the trunk struts are not holding. I assume this isn't an easy fix.
Upon the PPI the dealer told me I would need to to spark plugs, oil, and air filter element within the next 1k miles. From my previous post, I ordered all of these from Formula Dynamics out west.
I had a few questions I thought I'd put out on the forum.
- The stereo **** is not replaceable, you can't just pop it out and put a new one on, correct?
- How long have you guys run your trans fluid on the ZF box? PPI said it was fine but I was just curious to see your guys intervals.
- Is manual shifting via the paddles or **** bad at city speeds?
- Are they easy to work on like Porsche's are? DIY's
- Any advice for a new GranTurismo owner?
Thank you all for your time!
