supercharged 996 made it back home...
wow! the power in this car is just so smooooooooth. it's not as violent as a TT when it's power comes on, but that's probably cause there is zero lag with the SC and power is so linear. this is the power all 996s should come with :-) it seems better matched with the car's handling capabilities.
there is ZERO driveability issues with the lightweight flywheel. iow, when you're driving it normally (like everyone else on the road), you'd never know this wasn't a stock 996 with a stock clutch and flywheel. the only thing to mention is that at idle if you don't have the clutch fully depressed, it does rattle. that said, SC whine is nearly non-existent. it's much quieter than the turbo's whistle.
the jury is still out on whether the new PSS9s produce a better handling car than did the H&Rs. the PSS9s feel a little strange - the same way the Ruf PSS9s felt on a friend's 996 TT. they feel a bit soft (i'm not sure what setting they're on though).
from a rolling start (before it started to drizzle) either in first or second gear, the car lights up the rears! after it started to drizzle, i had to call it quits because all it wanted to do was spin the tires in any gear when the peddle was mashed :-) you can see from the time of this post that rain was the only thing that could have stopped it :-)

Hi Ben,
I am new to modify car. Yap, I would like to put the supercharger on my 996 C2 too. I just not sure how reliable the supercharger is, can you explain it to me? Which company or which supercharger do you recommend?
