Paying a premium isn’t an objection when a 20-year-old Supra looks this good, and it’s completely unmolested.

For those of you old enough to recall, the Toyota Supra was once one of the hottest Japanese cars in the entire world. Whether it was its unique design, the endless possibilities to upgrade its performance, or the fame it enjoyed in JDM culture, the Supra was ultimately the top dog.

If you were a kid in the late ’90s and always dreamed of owning a Supra, hopefully you’ve been stashing cash on the side all along, or you have a pretty darn good job nowadays. Prices for the venerable superstar have skyrocketed in recent years, but more specifically since production ended in Japan in 2002. (Toyota stopped selling the Supra in the USA in 1998.)

Take this 1997 Toyota Supra Turbo equipped with a six-speed manual transmission and only 33,200 miles on the odometer. It recently sold for $69,500, and according to the original thread in the forums it’s one of the lowest mileage Supras in the world. Making it even more premium-worthy is the fact that it’s basically unmolested.

As the seller, Blazed explains, “The overall condition and the fact that it’s essentially all original and unmolested. You just simply don’t find unmodified Supra’s like this anymore. The car is immaculate. It’s conservatively a 9/10 grade with all original body, interior, glass, and paint (with the exception of the front and rear bumpers being resprayed for rock chips/minor cosmetic flaws).”

The listing explains that the Supra has been modified with a four-inch turboback exhaust by 2JZ Motorsports to enhance the exhaust note, but otherwise, the 2JZ-GTE engine has never been touched for reasons other than maintenance. Speaking of maintenance, the bad boy was up to date at the time of the sale, and the owner had all the documentation to prove it.

Perhaps the only “Mmmm…” characteristics of this particular unit revolve around the fact that it was not originally equipped with a six-speed manual transmission, and that its Autocheck report erroneously reports more owners than it should. If you can live with that (which apparently folks can), then you may want to be on the lookout for when this Supra goes on sale next.

How much would you pay for your dream ride?
