The 1,365HP Rimac Concept_S Is Lightning Reincarnate

Ever wonder where all those lightning bolts go when they hit the ground? Well, now we know. They’ve been charging and charging and charging a secret supercar deep in the depths of Croatia. This week, it unearthed itself at the Geneva Motor Show, not unlike Godzilla crawling out of the depths of the ocean like the big creepy lizard he is.
This is the Rimac Automobili Concept_S, a relative of the Concept_One, and it’s here to obliterate all the muscles in your face with the brute power of electricity.
A 650V, 82 kWh battery pack delivers 1,365 horsepower (1,018 kW) at peak with 1,328 pound feet (1800 Nm) to the ground through four independently driven wheels. It’s 110 pounds lighter than the Concept_One, downforce is up 34 percent (wing!), it has a two-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and it’s all-wheel drive. That means numbers like this: 0-62 mph in 2.5 seconds, 0-124 in 5.6 seconds, 0-186 mph in 13.1 seconds and a top speed of 227 mph.
We likey.
