Hello, I Must Be Going…Aston Martin Drops Curtain on Swanky Lagonda

The limited edition, and I mean limited, Aston Martin Lagonda got its first official pictures taken the other day. And it’s… a long sedan. Honestly, for being a one off that is only going to the Middle East, this car’s styling is a bit lackluster.

Especially going to a people that built the world’s largest hotel, and have Bugattis, Lamborghinis, and Mercs as their police force.

The Aston Martin Lagonda was made to attract a very specific clientele, very rich oil sheiks essentially. The body is made totally out of carbon fiber, but runs on a Rapide frame and also keeps the V12 motor. The car was sold by invitation only. How much more limited edition can you get?

The Lagonda nameplate is one that held on for years and years, while the company was in the weeds of debt, and trading off between different investors and controlling stakes.

The original Lagonda is not so much a classic, and it’s interesting that the company decided to revive the nameplate, and revive some of the styling. Odds are this is about as close as any of us are going to get near this car. Say hello, and say goodbye. Maybe we will see another in 50 years.
