Behold the Modern Teenager’s Bedroom Wall Poster – LaFerrari Aperta
Who said great styling was dead? Who said that modern supercars had lost their souls in favor of technology, aerodynamics, and emissions? If you look at the new LaFerrari Aperta and still believe that, you need a mental examination.
What most of us thought would be called the LaFerrari Spider, came to life through the Instagram posts of wealthy Ferrari collectors that were tapped as potential buyers by Ferrari many months ago. The process involved a hand-delivered carbon fiber box with a red Ferrari key in it, and the silhouette of what looked like a convertible LaFerrari.
Fast forward a few months, and the model was confirmed by FCA and Ferrari Chairman and CEO, Sergio Marchionne. Fast forward another four months of so, and we have finally have these official pictures from Ferrari. Is it just me, or is it weird that Ferrari chose black as their unveiling color?
Baptized as the LaFerrari Aperta, it still rocks the massive power plant of the solid-roofed LaFerrari, which nets it a 950 horsepower courtesy of its internal combustion V12 engine and hybrid battery pack. While no figures are available for the Aperta, the “normal’ LaFerrari can reach 60 mph from zero in just 2. 5 seconds.
Not only is this the new bedroom wall poster for kids nowadays, but it’s also a very expensive and fancy Italian hair dryer.
