Though we’ve covered the new Lamborghini Huracán to hell and back already, we’re still excited to to see the official launch of the Huracán later this year at the Geneva auto show.

It’s a highly-touted, highly capable supercar with styling cues reminiscent of both the Lamborghini Aventador and a long legacy of wedge-shaped monsters like the Countach and the Diablo.

Let’s keep in mind though. The Aventador, the Gallardo, and now the Huracán will be a part of Lamborghini’s new VW-owned vision. Gone are the days of crap in your pants, barely controllable driving dynamics. These new bulls may look the part, but they also employ highly civilized underpinnings to provide everyday-usability and not so insane driving.

Some might see it as a diluting of the Lamborghini brand – I’m sure the executive team just wants to make sure their customers aren’t dropping like flies from tricky corners and slightly drizzly roads.

With more than 14,000 of the $200,000 Gallardos having found homes over a 10-year run, the Huracán definitely has a huge undertaking on its plate. I for one, can’t be more excited to start seeing the first initial testers.
