Change Your Vision with Porsche Design P’8928 P Collector’s Edition
Latest in the Porsche Design/Patrick Dempsey sunglasses lineup, P’8928 P Collector’s Edition comes with four interchangeable lenses.
Summer is just around the corner, waiting for you and your Porsche to roll up. Of course, this means going through your Porsche Design sunglasses collection to choose the right shades for the right occasion. You may even have a dedicated drawer full of their classics. And why not? Each pair’s got tons of style to bring to the party (or race track).
If you only have room in your home for one pair of sunglasses, though, Porsche Design and Patrick Dempsey have the pair you need: the P’8928 P Collector’s Edition.
“The classic design is iconic while evolving with technology,” said Dempsey. “I really love the elegant color palette of the lenses.”
The Porsche Design P’8928 P Collector’s Edition is a revised version of the classic P’8478 sunglasses. Designed by Dr. Ferdinand Porsche himself in 1978, the P’8478 was the first pair of sunglasses ever to have an interchangeable lens system. The P’8928 P Collector’s Edition retains this feature, with five pairs of lenses to cover all the bases.
No matter which pair you choose to pop into your frames, though, each one for the P’8928 P Collector’s Edition includes Porsche Design’s VISION DRIVE lens tech in the mix. That means UV400 protection for your eyes, plus amazing scratch protection and impact resistance to keep your lenses looking their best all of the time.
You might’ve noticed the case includes a photo of Dempsey wearing the P’8928 P Collector’s Edition. That’s because the “P” in the long name stands for “Patrick.” Yep! The shades are named after the actor, entrepreneur, race car driver and Porsche aficionado. And to make them befitting of Dempsey’s “elegant and puristic style,” the 100% titanium frames are coated in dark gray and black.
The Porsche Design P’8928 P Collector’s Edition goes on sale May 1. Pricing for the sunglasses, case and lenses is $1,050. The total package will be sold at select specialist retailers, as well as Porsche Design’s own stores across the country. You can also order them online at www.porsche-design.com.
