Ferrari Confirms New Theme Park in China – Skips U.S Again :P
According to reports out of Maranello, Ferrari is more than set to build a new and third Ferrari-themed park, but this time it’s not in the Middle East or Europe.
Despite its recent economic downturn, Ferrari says they will build a new theme park in none other than China, which comes at a surprise, as China is one of the main reasons why Ferrari has failed to meet sales goals in recent years.
China, a luxury goods mega-market and wealth extravaganza, had its stock market hit rock-bottom in the last 16 months, and nearly brought all out-of-control spending of its rich inhabitants to a complete halt, putting brands like Ferrari at odds. I guess things are okay now…
The first Ferrari-themed park was Ferrari World in glitzy Abu Dhabi, while the second park is confirmed, but not yet built in the party city of Barcelona in Spain. Why the U.S keeps getting overlooked? We don’t know, but given America’s nearly zero involvement in F1 (besides HAAS), or other global sports and industries could be a big factor why.
In the end, it’s really not that bad, as it’s just an excuse to jet over to Spain or the UAE!
