Watch This F1 Car Do Donuts on a Dubai Skyscraper
Kids, refrain from doing donuts while you’re high, unless your name is David Coulthard. If you are David Coulthard and you’re surrounded by cameras as you sit in an Infiniti Red Bull Racing Formula One car on the 689-foot-high helipad of Burj Al Arab in Dubai, then please, for the love of God, do donuts.
Why is an F1 car doing donuts on a helipad in Dubai? To celebrate Infiniti Red Bull Racing’s fourth-consecutive Formula One Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championship. At 78 feet wide this may be the smallest “closed course” an F1 car has ever seen, but the views surrounding the racecar’s high-altitude domain are larger than life, and the 750-horsepower Renault engine has no problem unleashing its power in such a confined space.
