Koeniggsegg Agera RS Hits the Track at Goodwood

By -

Who cares if your 1-of-25 hypercar set you back a cool $1.5-million? That doesn’t mean you can’t hot lap it!

If you just so happen to be lucky enough to own a 1-of-25 Koeniggsegg Agera RS, you probably don’t drive it much. Aside from the extreme rarity, perhaps the sales price of $1.5-million plus has you suffering from nightmares of parking lot dings. Or distracted, texting drivers on the freeway. And you most certainly wouldn’t wring your priceless supercar out on the track, would you? Well, at least one of those 25 lucky people did.

In all fairness, this isn’t your average track day. Goodwood’s Duke of Richmond only hosts three such events each year. And the cars that get invites aren’t exactly your average, run of the mill rides. Along with the Koeniggsegg Agera RS, this particular run also featured a Pagani Huayra Roadster, Koeniggsegg One:1, and even the all-new Rolls Royce Cullinan. Pretty decent company, we’d say.

Of course, it’s kind of hard to top the world’s (current) fastest production car. With 1,360 rip-roaring horsepower and 1,011 lb-ft of torque, this 3,075 pound beast is about the only thing that’ll put a Bugatti Chiron to shame. It’s almost enough to make the “average” Ferrari or McLaren driver feel a little, shall we say, inadequate?

And oh boy, does it ever sound fantastic, too. We’re only treated to mere seconds of the Koeniggsegg Agera RS rounding the track, but it’s more than enough to get our motors running. This thing sounds like all of the dogs of Hell got unleashed at the same time. And they’re mighty hungry. So kudos to the owner of this hyper-rare machine for actually getting it out and driving it like it was designed to do!
