The all-new 2017 Ford GT made its debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan. The carbon fiber supercar looks pretty killer in person and traces of the GT40 can be felt in its design.

“The GT is the ultimate execution of an enthusiast supercar,” said Raj Nair, Ford Global Product Development VP.

“GT includes innovations and technologies that can be applied broadly across Ford’s future product portfolio – another proof point that Ford continues raising the performance bar while ultimately improving vehicles for all of our customers.”

The sick rear-wheel drive car sports a 3.5 liter twin turbo V6, mid-mounted EcoBoost engine that produces over 600 horsepower. It goes into production next year according to sources at Ford and we definitely can’t wait to see it on the track too.
