Nitto Tire Supercharged Lamborghini Huracan vs. Ultra4 Race Truck

By -

Part two of the Nitto Tire Huracan saga means racing, and more burnouts.

What do you do with a freshly supercharged Lamborghini Huracan? If you think like Samuel Hubinette, your mind goes straight to the race track. The team at Nitto Tire rented out Willow Springs International Raceway so that Hubinette and his Huracan could go play.

However, what fun is playing all by yourself? Nitto also brought out Jason Blanton, and his Ultra4 off-road racing rig to see which high-horsepower vehicle would reign supreme. With the VF Engineering supercharger, Hubinette’s Lamborghini Huracan is rated at 800 horsepower. With a 572 cubic-inch Dart-prepared Big Block, Blanton’s Ultra4 race rig doles out 900 horsepower, on any surface. Both have four-wheel drive, though, obviously, these are two very different beasts. So who would win in a drag race?

Fortunately, Willow Springs can also accommodate quarter-mile drag races. The result is surprisingly close, much more so than we anticipated. We won’t spoil the results, but will say that afterwards, there are celebratory donuts, burnouts and shenanigans, from both sides of the race. Knowing Hubinette, this is likely far from the last time we will be seeing his supercharged Huracan around. All eyes on Nitto Tire to see where it goes from here.
