Pennzoil Gives the Dodge Viper a Proper Send Off
One last ride for the Mighty Viper
After being in production for 26 years, the Dodge Viper will soon be gone forever later this year (August 31, 2017 to be exact). To pay tribute to one of America’s greatest sports cars, Pennzoil has given the Viper a touching and proper send off in their latest video titled, “The Last Viper”. The short film features a yellow Viper ACR that seems to have been stolen by a professional wheelman hired to retrieve it and bring it back home. Set in Miami, the beautiful backdrop compliments the precision driving through the city and is accompanied by the glorious sounds of the 8.4L all-aluminum V10 powering the Viper ACR.
After the navigating the streets of South Beach at high speeds, including some sideways action, spits of flame from the exhaust, and even some sweet air, the ACR is found back at its owner’s home. The driver send confirmation of delivery and is sent information for his next mission with the question “How are you with exorcising demons?”. Yes, that was a nod referring to the Challenger SRT Demon which will be taking on the mantle as Dodge’s top performing vehicle after the Viper ends production.
The wonderfully produced short film was directed by Ozan Biron. Behind the wheel of the last Viper was no other than professional driver Rhys Millen. Pennzoil, who presented the film is also the official oil supplier to all Dodge SRT vehicles. I guess you could say that Pennzoil is the venom inside the Viper (pun very much intended).
