Petersen’s ‘Porsche Effect’ Is Very Effective in Wowing Los Angeles
Never before has so much Porsche passion gathered under one roof.
The road was certainly filled with bumps and detours along the way. But Porsche stands today as one of the most iconic automakers in history. Over the last 70 years, the geniuses in Stuttgart have churned out some amazing machinery. To celebrate these achievements, Los Angeles’ Petersen Automotive Museum carefully curated one of the largest collections of the brand’s vehicles in what is dubbed “The Porsche Effect,” which opened February 3.
The year-long exhibit kicked off with a invitation-only ribbon-cutting ceremony on February 1 with a host of A-listers, including former MLB star C.J. Wilson, actor/racer Patrick Dempsey, and legendary driver Hurley Haywood. And, of course, our Porsche fanatic pals over at our brother site Rennlist were there to catch what Petersen calls the “most comprehensive Porsche display outside of Stuttgart.”
Obviously, the Rennlist Porsche enthusiasts came away from the exhibit’s pre-opening night showcase very impressed. “This showcase spans Porsche’s 70-year history in a way that must be experienced firsthand to truly appreciate the full impact of this once-in-a-lifetime collection,” writes Rennlist‘s Editor, David Ciminelli.
