Police Impound Dazzling BMW Z4 for Excessive Shinyness

Often times we find customized cars so terrible, we think they should be illegal. Leopard print Lambos and pretty much everything made by Mansory qualify. Both the US and China allow for a lot of customization, but there are just some things that are not allowed. In China, bedazzling your car and sticking LEDs in the wheels are considered no-nos. I guess that’s one thing we have in common.

The car was covered in little plastic crystals mixed with paint. Technically, this type of paint is illegal in China, but most of the time cops don’t care. But for this disco ball inspired Z4, they made an exception.

To be fair, the car was also adorned with extra LED lights in the wheels and elsewhere. Though, we suspect the real problem was that the driver was rolling around with licence plates. That’ll get you pulled over anywhere. Police impounded the car as punishment and levied a 500 yuan fine (about $79 ).
