Porsche 991.2 GT3 RS Receives a Few Welcome Upgrades

Porsche 991.2 GT3 RS

The 991.2 GT3 RS is nearly perfect as is, but a few select mods take this beautiful Porsche to the next level.

To us (and most everyone in the enthusiast world), the Porsche 991.2 GT3 RS is essentially the perfect car. Masterfully balanced and quick both in a straight line and around corners, the GT3 RS is an exercise in what makes purist cars so great. But of course, there are a few things you can do to make this amazing machine just a bit better. And 6SpeedOnline forum member Itzkirb seems to have done just that with his beautiful Chalk-hued Porsche.

The plans for this car from the outset are rather simple. But when you’ve got a car this great to begin with, it’s best to keep things simple. Itzkirb simply wanted to give his GT3 RS a protective film wrap, ceramic coating, window tint, and a Sharkwerks exhaust. The Porsche actually made the trip to Sharkwerks for the new exhaust, which features black tips to replace the stock chrome pieces. Which is a nice touch in our opinion.

Next up, it was time to protect that gorgeous paint with a PPF install and Modesta BC-04 application. Which is always a good call on a brand new car. This way, the OP doesn’t have to worry about scratches and minor rock chips for a while, at least.

Next, the OP turned his attention to a little protection for a common wear item on the inside of his Porsche.

“Met up with Ed over the weekend. He was kind enough to install a pair of his EdGuard LWB Bolster Protectors. The extra stitching detail on the small back leather holder behind the bolsters is a really nice touch. The stitching color was spot on. They’re so nice I feel like I need to get a protector for the protectors.”

With all of that wrapped up, the car was ready for a full detail to get it looking its best. Now, this Porsche was looking just as good as it sounded, apparently.

“Thank you Porsche of Livermore for the quick and easy installation. Thank you again John for answering all my questions. Cold start it’s LOUD, but after it warms up it’s perfect! Minimal to no drone inside the car, no problems with conversations or talking on the phone. I call this the Soul-Shark Exhaust! Sharkwerks Center and Soul Performance Sides.”

The 991.2 GT3 RS might be a nearly perfect car as is, but we’re digging the mods the OP made to this one. Be sure and head over here to check out all the pics of the car, along with tons of videos of it in action as well!
