Porsche Cayman GT4 gets a bit too ambitious against this Tesla Model S.

When the Cayman GT4 came out two years ago, Porsche fans all over the world rejoiced after waiting years for the ultimate track day ready Cayman. Fitted with the 991.1 Carrera S 3.8L flat-six engine, the Cayman finally had the extra grunt that it was missing. No matter how lightweight and agile the GT4 is, when it comes to outright acceleration from anywhere – a dig, roll, and out of a corner, there is no stopping the power of electricity. And you guessed right! We’re talking about the Tesla Model S.

In this short video clip, you can see what appears to be a white Cayman GT4 desperately trying to stay close to the Model S (camera car). Once both cars reached an intersection, the Tesla made a right and quickly dropped the hammer. The GT4 did the same, but it looks like the driver ran out of skill and simply lost the rear end while getting on the throttle in hopes of keeping up with the Model S.

Whenever I see a Tesla that wants to play, I wave the white flag right away. This is unless you’re behind the wheel of something like the new Ferrari 812 Superfast. Anything less and you’ll be left in the dust in no time at all.

Have you ever had an encounter with a Tesla, of the legal or extra-legal variety? Let us know on the forum!
