Porsche Designs Starship for Naughty Dog’s Latest Video Game Franchise
‘Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet’ will feature a spaceship with Porsche designs.
Porsche has partnered with the studio behind “The Last of Us” and “Uncharted” to put its mark on the sci-fi video game landscape. It’s “Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet,” the upcoming title from California-based Naughty Dog. However, you’re not going to find some wild wheels with a Porsche badge in this game. Instead, players will find a bright red spacecraft with a Porsche badge.
The game will include the Porsche 984 Tempest NDX, a spaceship with two engines and forward-facing guns. While the engines appear to be some sort of futuristic propulsion, it’s unclear whether the spaceship will pack a flat-six. As of now, Naughty Dog hasn’t released details on when gamers can expect to pilot the space-bound Porsche.
‘984 Tempest NDX’ Adds classic Porsche
Around the rear of the spaceship, Porsche fans will notice horizontal fluting. It’s reminiscent of a 992.1 911’s rear-end. Like other modern Porsches, the video game spacecraft features the brand’s current all-caps lettering followed by “984 Tempest NDX.” Above the blue-lit “PORSCHE” lettering, a prominent horizontal wing channels the 911 GT3. Better yet, the striped aesthetic seems to nod to the brand’s racing heritage.
The interior, or cockpit if you will, features sci-fi control surfaces. However, it all centers around an aircraft-inspired yoke with triggers and buttons. Of course, keen-eyed observers will notice a Porsche badge right in the middle of the yoke.

Not the first for Porsche
At the end of 2019, Porsche partnered with Lucasfilm to create a fantasy spacecraft with the iconic “Star Wars” universe in mind. The result was the “Tri-Wing S-91x Pegasus Starfighter,” an almost delta-shaped starship with laser cannons up front and two engines embedded in its flying-wing profile.
