Porsche Sales Speeding Up
Porsche has announced that 911 sales were 32 percent higher than last August’s sales. 1,063 911/918 sports cars were sold last month, over the 769 that were sold during the same period the prior summer.
“It is gratifying to see our iconic sports car continue to be a strong performer,” declares Detlev von Platen, Head Honcho of Porsche Cars & Trucks North America, “particularly the race-bred 911 GT3, of which 206 were delivered by our dealers.”
The Cayenne SUVs sales were even stronger last month and Porsche managed to move another 1,485 vehicles to drivers who prefer a wagon that hauls ass on the track or during a trip to the mall.
The all new Macan mini SUV had a decent month with 969 sales in August, followed by 627 Boxster/Cayman roadsters sold and another 429 Panamera rides to bring the grand total up to 4,540 vehicles. Not too shabby.
