Purists Beware: World’s Only 6-speed Manual F430 Scuderia

By -

Ferrari never offered a Scuderia with a manual gearbox, but a Texas shop changed that. See what European Auto Group did to this 430.

If you are a Ferrari purist, you might want to stop reading now. Art Bartosik, who owns European Auto Group in San Antonio, Texas, has taken a 2008 Ferrari 430 Scuderia, with a perfectly good single-clutch F1 gearbox, and replaced it with a 6-speed manual rower. As seen in the latest video, above, from auto influencer “Tavarish,” Bartosik isn’t your ordinary chop-shop owner, because he knows what the value of this conversion will be. Let’s just say it will be a lot more than the conversion cost.

Manual gearboxes in supercars are slowly going away, but they won’t be gone forever as long as Bartosik has anything to say. The last manual transmission-equipped Ferrari sports car, a special-order California, left Maranello in 2010. Only around 500 examples of this sports car were produced with a selling price just under $300,000. This is the only 430 Scuderia with a manual gearbox on the planet, so it’s the rarest one out there.

Bartosik didn’t change any other aspects of the sports car. The rest of the Scuderia is completely stock. It still features a 505-horsepower, 347 lb-ft of torque 4.3-liter V-8 minus the paddle shifters and the single-clutch F1 gearbox. For those gear heads who want to tackle this conversion yourself, Batosikt gives a complete detailed rundown of the car’s transformation in Tavarish’s video.

Tavarish takes this insane 2008 Ferrari 430 Scuderia out for a spin and is thoroughly impressed with the car’s performance. You can tell he wants his name on the title of this car and sitting in his garage. When Tavarish gets back to the shop, Bartosik is ready to deal but Tavarish knows it’s out of his price range.

Now, the world’s only manual-transmission Ferrari 430 Scuderia is complete and it sits in the San Antonio garage waiting for a new owner who has enough money to buy this triple-black beauty. This car is for sale now, but Bartosik won’t disclose what the asking price is. If you think you have enough Denaro, you can call for pricing by contacting him at art.eagsatx@gmail.com.
