Rare Ferrari F512 M from 1995 hits the auction block. Despite its limited production of 75 units, it is one of the lesser-known limited-edition Ferraris.

The Ferrari F512 M is not the kind of car that blends in. However, despite its status as a fairly rare Ferrari, folks might not be aware of it. It is the final chapter in the Testarossa legacy, the ultimate evolution of one of the most recognizable shapes in automotive history. Ferrari only built 75 for the North American market for the 1995 model year, and this one is number 44. It wears a coat of Nero paint over Beige Connolly leather, and it boasts trophies, magazine covers, and a service history that truly make it stand out as a well-loved example.

This F512 M is currently for sale on Bring A Trailer and has spent time in the spotlight. It took home two Cavallino Classic awards and a Platino trophy at Concorso Ferrari Palm Beach. Furthermore, it was featured on the cover of Cavallino magazine and earned a full spread in the Ferrari Club of America’s 60th Anniversary Register. It also has a recent complete timing belt service and an additional $25,000 worth of maintenance from Ferrari of West Palm Beach. The seller only added 500 miles since then, too. The odometer now reads a total of 28,000 miles. It seems, then, that this is a perfect target for Ferrari collectors.

Ferrari Refined the Iconic 512TR

The F512 M refined everything that came before it in the flat-12 Ferrari lineage. Compared to the 512 TR, this version received a revised crankshaft, titanium connecting rods, and updated bodywork. Power remained strong at 432 horsepower and 367 pound-feet of torque, delivered to the rear wheels through a five-speed gated manual and limited-slip differential.

The exterior has subtle but noteworthy changes. Fixed headlights replaced the now iconic but aging (at the time) pop-ups. NACA ducts on the hood, smoothed bumpers, quad round taillights, and body-color rocker panels sharpen the look. Gorgeous silver 18-inch Speedline wheels wear Continental tires and house Ferrari-branded calipers over cross-drilled rotors. It still looks every bit as exotic as it did in the mid-1990s.

Elegance Inside and Out

Inside, the Beige Connolly leather covers the seats, door panels, and lower dash, offering a warm contrast to the black exterior. The iconic gated shifter anchors the center console alongside controls for the AC and power windows. A period-correct Alpine stereo adds a touch of ‘90s charm. The motorized seatbelts admittedly add a bit of ‘90s ick, though. The plaque on the dashboard confirms its identity as number 44 of the 75 North American cars.

The sale includes everything that matters to collectors. The Ferrari Classiche red book, service records, tools, awards, a custom wool GoodWool cover, and a clean Carfax report all accompany the car. It holds a clean Florida title and stands as a fully documented, well-preserved piece of Ferrari history. The F512 M was not just the end of the Testarossa story. It was the final evolution of Ferrari’s flat-12 dream—hand-built, naturally aspirated, and wrapped in Pininfarina’s sharpest lines.
