/Drive Reviews The Porsche 918 Spyder

There have been a lot of Porsche 918 reviews, but then again, there’s lots of reviews of every car. Car companies don’t bring one journalist out to test their car, they bring enough of us to battle William Wallace.

But what separates this one is Mike Spinelli. For those that don’t know, Mike founded Jalopnik, and keeps the candle of investigative features and reporting alive there. Then, he helped run 0-60 Magazine. And now, he’s on the /DRIVE Network. That’s a stout resume for someone with the mane of a high-school garage band bassist.

And that brings me to my point: I think Mike is one of the most talented, clever, and funny automotive writers ever. That’s why this video is here, instead of any of the others (including one by the perpetually-listing, Chris Harris, which is on the same channel). Mike makes me laugh. Not many hosts do.

No, but Patrick Long can. He’s a Porsche Factory driver. He can drive like a copulator of matriarchs.
