While we still haven’t received all the versions of the 991-generation Porsche 911, the German engineers are already out testing what seems to be the face-lift for their core model. Our images are the first winter-test images to reveal the refreshed incarnation of the 911. Since the new generation of the model showed up at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2011 and Porsche’s typical life cycle includes a revamp once every four years or so, we can expect the face-lift to debut in 2015.

Both prototypes pictured here, the standard 911 Carrera and the Turbo, are wearing camouflage on their front and rear aprons. Up front, we can see reshaped air intakes and LED daytime running lights. However, it’s the rear end that holds the bigger changes, sporting larger taillights. Again, this is a strong indication that we’re dealing with a face-lift here.
