The Ferrari 458 Italia was one of the best sounding Ferraris of all time. It’s naturally aspirated V8 motor made a howling sound that would make the gods weep with joy and mere mortals run in terror.

Ferraris are a dime a dozen here in Los Angeles, and nothing says you’ve made it, but you could be doing better than a completely stock Ferrari. While that sounds completely ridiculous for most of the public, it’s the life we live here in L.A. That especially becomes true when you are a celebrity that has the last name of Bieber.

A few years ago, then Ferrari owner Joel Zimmerman, better known as DeadMau5, received a cease and desist letter from the prancing horse’s legal department.

This is the Misha Designs 458 and it is gorgeous. It combines the utterly gorgeous good looks of the original 458, with all the menace of the new Ferrari FXX K hypercar to create something that melds the worlds of track day and Monaco cruising perfectly.

When you own a Ferrari, you really don’t expect to get smoked by anybody. The thing is, when you are racing a supercar versus a superbike, you really are outgunned unless you’re in an Ariel Atom. Even so, they’re really fun to watch.

On this date in 1898, Enzo Ferrari was born in Modena, Italy, and the world will never be the same. He was a skilled racer, a savvy business man, and a visionary that sparked the creation of the super sports car and the cachet that comes with it.
