There’s a little-known German hot rod called the Porsche 911 Turbo, but believe it or not, that’s not really what Porsche initially called it, or even intended it to be the massive hit it is nowadays.

Imagine a world of limitless possibilities. A world where madness and genius go hand in hand. Imagine a world where the phrase, “you’re nuts” isn’t thrown around at people with dreams of ludicrous proportion.

Last night, scrolling through Facebook because I couldn’t sleep, I came across a post from one of my friends. It looked like an interesting little video about a classic Porsche, and then turned into a full two hours of me researching who these guys were.

In some cases, “new” doesn’t always mean “better.” Automobile Magazine’s Preston Lerner certainly seems to subscribe to that philosophy regarding the Porsche 911 Turbo.
