A few months ago, Aston Martin introduced us to the company’s new GT3 track focused weapon. However, after a legal battle with the likes of Porsche who claimed they owned the GT3 nameplate, Aston Martin was forced to change the name of the car to the Aston Martin GT12.
As production began on the new McLaren 675LT, orders halted because all 500 examples were sold almost immediately. The new McLaren approaches itself very much in the same way that the 650S approached the 12C.
The 991 edition of the 911 GT3 is a pretty epic car. Whether or not you agree with the choice of only offering a PDK transmission, you have to admit a 9,000 RPM straight-6 and four-wheel steering is just delicious.
Many out there don’t know that Porsche actually had a long and storied history in rally. Everyone just thinks of them as strictly a tarmac racing company.
I get that Chris Harris and the entire /DRIVE crew has worked their asses off building that company up from nothing.
