The telenovela that is the hunt for Top Gear’s new cast seems to have come to a shocking end. And while that’s good news, it’s also the beginning of a long waiting period until we see their product on our tellys.

The BBC’s hunt for a new Top Gear host team has almost turned into a novela, with its many highs, lows, rumors and even disappointments.

If the rumors are to be believed, Nürburgring goddess Sabine Schmitz will be one of the new cohosts of Top Gear alongside Chris Harris and Chris Evans.
