Bring A Trailer

Porsches come from the factory with no need for changing at all, but not everyone’s style is the same.

There’s few things in the automotive world that don’t need fussing with. Porsche cars are one such item. They leave the factory pretty much ready to go, with each model offering a flavor to match your driving style. However, that doesn’t keep tuners from twisting wrenches and carving new bodywork.

We can appreciate both side of the modification spectrum, too. There’s those that tune for increased performance, and then there’s those that modify for aesthetics and flash. Both are respectable when done well. And below, you’ll see a list of some of our favorites.

1. Techart 911 GT street RS

Techart is known for making some visually striking renditions of Porsches, and their 911 GT street RS is no different. based on a 911 Turbo, the GT street RS is built to kick the GT2 in the intercoolers. According to Motor1, this Techart Porsche makes 760 horsepower, and featured forged carbon fiber aero goodies on every conceivable spot on the car. These aspects add to the visual appeal of the car, but even the driver gets their own makeover too; each of the ten made will have a custom racing helmet made for the driver.

2. BBi Autosport Pikes Peak racer

While Techart could make any kind of car they want, BBi chose to make a Porsche with a specific purpose. That purpose was to climb Pikes Peak as fast as possible. No frills here, then. Built from the basis of a GT3 cup car, this Pikes Peak racer was already a race car, but needed a lot of work to be a Pikes Peak contender.

MotoIQ writes that this car was assembled in just 22 days. Amazing considering it was retrofitted with a 911 Turbo engine and had massive upgrades in aero. And of course, painted in eye grabbing tennis-ball yellow.
