Vanquish Wins “Most Beautiful Supercar of 2012” Award in Paris

Aston Martin can add another award to their shelves as of this weekend, with the new Vanquish winning the title of “Most Beautiful Supercar of the Year” at The Festival Automobile in Paris. I’m pretty sure that everyone already thought the Aston Martin was beautiful, but now there’s a hoity-toity award for them to hoist as evidence.

The Aston Martin Rapide won the award last year, too. I don’t think the Vantage or the Rapide are the best cars, necessarily, but I agree with them being the most beautiful of their respective years. There’s no getting around the fact that the Vanquish is an stunner. Even when you ignore it’s 573 horsepower V12 or the 4.1 second 0 – 60 time, it could shock on looks alone. Other cars have been released last year that are faster, turn better, and cost less (I’m looking at you Viper), but none of them have the visual impact of an Aston. I don’t think anyone else really had a chance…
