Porsche Cayman 718 GT4 RS

In case you didn’t know, the Porsche Cayman 718 Cayman GT4 RS is no joke.

Admit it. If you had access to a road that allowed you to truly put the pedal to the medal, you’d do it. If you also had access to a brand new Porsche Cayman 718 GT4 RS like AutoTopNL did, you’d doubly do so. And, well, that’s exactly what they did. Without any commentary, without pesky subtitles or audio tampering, the wizards made the ultimate Porsche ASMR video. Just them, the Porsche, and the open road for a solid eight minutes.

In case you didn’t know, the Porsche Cayman 718 Cayman GT4 RS is no joke. For instance, the 0-60 time rated by Porsche is 3.2 seconds. Which for a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter Boxer 6 making 493 hp with 331 lb ft of torque, is no laughing matter. So it’s no surprise that the lucky driver in this video was able to hit 0-60 mph at 3.34 seconds. Being the featherweight it is at 3,227 lbs, this car is as light as it is fast.

According to Porsche’s website, this feisty sports car is able to hit a top speed of 196 mph at the track. While this video doesn’t show speeds like that, they get close – by hitting 188 mph (304 kmh) in just over a mile. Or, in seconds, 28.2. Though, that’s about what a $149,100 MSRP base price should get you.

Slippin’ & Slidin’

As previously mentioned, this is video is everything a Porsche enthusiast could want. It’s nothing but pure, unadulterated screaming boxer and race spec exhaust noises. Though, AutoTopNL takes it up a notch by being sure to include a few clips of the driver breaking the back end loose on wet tarmac. With the engine in the middle just in front of the rear axle, it makes breaking it loose for some drifting action fairly easy – and fun.

But don’t just take it from us – take it from AutoTopNL. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the sounds of a car we are all dreaming of owning.
