Questions about Lowering my 991 C4S
Couple of questions about lowering my 2014 991 C4S Coupe. I am a DIY'er, and have the appropriate H&R Sport Springs for my '14 C4S coupe. I've lowered cars before, but not a 991 and not an all-wheel-drive car.
I am looking at the shop manual for Porsche 991 front spring/strut removal, and they instruct that for an all-wheel drive vehicle (like mine) "before raising vehicle, loosen the drive shaft mounting on the wheel side - get a second person to assist by operating the brake." I am not familiar with this at all. I don't think this is necessary, but thought you might be able to advise?
Also, another question about the instructions - After removing the wheel, the instructions specific to all-wheel-drive cars refer to "carefully press the drive shaft journal out of the wheel hub until the shaft can be moved by hand." There is reference to using a puller tool with pull stud to do this. Again, I don't think this is necessary, but on all-wheel drive cars maybe so?
Really appreciate any help to be offered??
Happy New Year!

So anyways I am able to get the wheel carrier to drop a bit, but appears that the front drive shaft may be prohibiting the wheel carrier assembly and strut/spring assembly from dropping far enough so that I can get the top of the strut with PASM cable past the camber plate. I'm talking within maybe 15mm.... So close yet so far!
So I am hopeful that an expert in this technical forum may have done this before and or can offer advice. I mean I know people have lowered C4s before me, so please help a guy out as he wants to learn? :-)
Thanks in advance!
