That is an ugly car!

Saying that, I had a Super Callander on my wall when I was little, the stated 0-60 was 3.7 second which I just could not understand as being possible! The car was way ahead of it's time!

Great car the 959. Really advanced for the period.

I think it had a 0-60 of mid 3's?

The 996 tt was an eventual outcome in a way.

WAY AHEAD of it's time. Most exotics back then were running 0-60 around 6 seconds probably and the 959 was doing it in 3.7!!!!!
Anyone who talks trash on that car doesn't know jack. It is the predecessor for all of the amazing 911 turbos we have now, it is to be praised.

Porsche showed the world how to build exotics, then the world followed. The car is the baddest car for what it did, and can still do.

Before I owned or knew anything about porsches there were 6 959's sitting inside of our warehouse (bonded foreign trade zone). I use to look at em and reflect how ugly they were. I was told they were 250K+ at they time but did not believe it.

It was not till a 10 years later when I learned the truth. My buddy who owns a porsche shop never lets me live that one down.

Now that I own a 600hp 993tt I can see the beauty in the 959.

Canepa's 959 will probably be less trouble then the F40 I am getting and less to maintain. And will run with it, and they built 1/5 as many of them, **** I should buy that instead. And every body will think I am driving a 911 with a body kit. So nodody will f-with-it.
