You should, they seek out for cars like yours. I haven't got a ticket for over 15 years then when I bought my tt, bam! Got pulled over for doing 10 over. They are hungry.

I have had 4 Porsches and I've only been pulled over once 2 days after I got my brand-new 2010 turbo by a police officer who just wanted to ask me about the car. He had always been interested in Porsche turbos but hadn't seen the new one. Kind of scared me at first as the turbo is so easy to blast off and I figured I had hit 0-60 in the 2.9 seconds Car and Driver magazine said it would do! I think it depends where you are driving. In California I don't have front plates but you are required by law to have front plates but I have not been stopped for it. I wouldn't expect a lot of activity unless of course somehow you go a little fast. I've heard our cars easily can hit higher than 100mph... Oh that's right... they go a lot faster than that!

Yep, afraid it sort of goes with the territory. I've had Porsches for over 40 years, bought the first one when I was 17. Naturally the first one got me into a bunch of trouble, being 17, having TWO girlfriends that liked to go fast, and having a car that would do it. First year I got 6 speeding tickets....2 in one day! I blame it totally on the girlfriends.
Most recent was on the 405 in LA. I was in the "fast lane" going 70....speed limit 65. All the cars in front of me, behind me and next to me were also going 70. Here comes the motorcycle cop from behind, weaving in and out around the other cars and lights me up. I ask the cop, a real Barney Fife with the attitude, why he pulled me over out of all those other cars? He smiled and said it was my lucky day! Wrote me up for 5 over!
Jealousy....Envy....Power trip....Ego....

First thing I bought for mine was a V-1 radar detector.

My targa is red as well, rumour has it that they are the fastest color. They also seem to attract a lot of attention at the US/Canadian border. My car has been searched a couple of times.

I got more speeding tickets in m wife's minivan than in my Porsche. Just be more careful when you press the go pedal.

I don't get pulled over knock on wood....Seams if you keep tint off the windows and they can see in they are happy. I usually get a double take that's about it. Last year I did get pulled as soon as I got around someone going 40 and quickly got to 65, the cop pulled me over grining and said " You just couldn't help yourself could you" .

When I first got the car, a cop nearly hit me while staring in Grovetown, Ga. They don't see quite as many in a small town. I got my first ticket in about 10 years a few months later, for doing 73 in a 55.... But, there was a Black CTS in front of me going much, much faster.

Generally for driving, I have often gotten a lot more leniency in a group... Now I've learned that the one car they pull over is the one in a Guards Red Porsche.
