Hi, Connor,

Well, since your dad has a 993RS already, I doubt if he would be interested in mine. It would be a great 16th B-day present for you, though! I'll probably still have it then.

Jack:

Based on Connor's grades, he will need to learn how to spell Schwinn. At his current pace he'll be eligible for a 924 when he turns 40!

Ouch. Time to pound those books mini D. With a 924, you will be getting lapped by neons at the track all day. Play your cards right, get a 944T and have your dad's buddy Carl set it up for you.

And just when I was about to mention that David had been conspicuously absent from this thread ever since talk had turned to buying Connor a Porsche . . .

Ouch...that hurts just to think about it! I briefly owned a new '77 924. I lost a stoplight drag race to a VW Scirocco which hastened it's departure, replaced by a '72 911E which I should have kept.

I love ducktails. I´ve been wanting to put one on my 996, but I can´t find any supplier apart from Ruf. They charge about EUR 2000 (2500+ USD) + paint + tax + freight, which is just too much...
Any suggestions on suppliers in the US?

Try MASHAW or possible Getty Design. MASHAW has it for sure.

The one on my 993 came from RennSpeed. I just checked their site and they don't list one for a 996. I think MA Shaw is your best bet. Mike's parts are of very high quality.
