I just recently found 6speedoline. I'm also a poster on Pelican and Rennlist.

Here's my 911. Let me know what you think, good or bad...

Thumbs up

Fellow ROW here! Looking good, I always loved white impact bumper 911s.

Thanks guys. Yeah, she's been alot of fun so far. There are several things I want to do, but nothing 'pressing'. I'm just trying to maximize her time on the road and enjoy driving her. I did my first service a few months ago (with the help of a few Pelicans) and added a Fabspeed euro pre-muffler.

Later,
Mike

Several small things, and obviously, few not-so-small things. I upgraded my dash lighting to 5w bulbs (built bulb holders and all), and have been doing ALOT of cleaning - headlights, taillights, etc. Something I really want to do is get it back to RoW specs, mechanically and cosmetically. I've also been watching with great patience, Moses posts about the cast 17" Fuchs replicas. I think it would look great with 17x7.5s and 17x9s with the color atched centers. I want to go with a S. Wong chip along with a 1 in/ 1 out M&K muffler. Maintenance wise, I want to go through the brakes as soon as I can. I need to drain and replace the tranny fluid too. The good thing is, I don't feel pressured, and I don't want to do 'everything' at one time like I have with my previous cars. I want to make it 'a lasting relationship', if that makes sense. Enjoy each and every change or improvement.

One thing I did notice in my garage the other day that struck me as odd. Evidently, my garage is no where near level, as one side of my car is nearly 1" lower than the other side. The passenger side measured 24.13/24.63 and the drivers side was 25/25.5. I really need to get it out on level ground and check it again. Appearance-wise, it doesn't look different.

Thanks again,
Mike

Had you lowered your car at all? Its hard to adjust the rear of the car, but if your fronts are not the same then just adjust from there. I still need to adjust mine a little, my driver side is slightly higher than the other side.

I have two Steve Wong chips for my car, one for fun and one for emissions. I recently had some starting issues after putting my "sport" chip back in. I gave Steve a call and he had me to send it back so he could check it out, about a week later he sent me a new chip with some updates! He's great to work with.

No, I haven't lowered it at all. It is supposedly at Euro ride height. I will definitely have to check it on level ground.

That sounds good about the chip. Steve seems to be a very good guy, and has a great product. What mods have you done to your car garnetredcoupe? Obviously, I'm asking since you have an RoW Carrera too.

Later,
Mike

What a great looking white Carrera. I love this style of car inside and out. I don't mean to be ignorant, but can you guys tell me what "RoW" stands for?

RoW is short for cars produced for the ''Rest Of World.''

Thanks for the educational session!!! I have attached a side pic of my 87 that has been lowered. Sometimes I think it's too low...I get a little bit of wheel rub on the front left when I go around a sharp corner and the car leans towards the left. Otherwise it's just a little hard for an oldtimer to get that close to the ground to get into the car seat!!
