Fender Rolling tip.

I have a DE this weekend but the 17s were hitting the outer lip, so after looking, thinking, more thinking, I came up with this idea.
First, I got a small 1/4 inch board, a shop rag, 2 clamps and a pair of Vise Grips.
After clamping the board, with the cloth between the fender & board, then starting in the center, clamped the Vise Grips, and went out, re-clamping side by side until I covered the area needed rolling, then I tightened the Vise Grips and repeated the entire process until the lib was flush. And after removing the clamps, the paint had no new damage. Test drive had no rubbing.

wp95supercup is infamous around these parts
take a floor jack handle - wrap a towel around it. Insert into tirewell near top front of tire. Have a friend roll the car back and forth while you also rotate the jack handle while at the same time pushing down on the handle against the top of the tire. This will give the fender a smooth roll up and out giving you the tire clearence you need.
I've raced 944's for years, you don't need 17's.....
best tire setup is 225/45/16's front 245/40/16's rear on 7" and 8" x 16" rims........

Except when you need 17/18" wheels to clear your brakes
