930s cab question

Someone has one that he inherited and does not know how to put the top up and down. Is it manual or is there something he is doing wrong?

930 cab top operation

Most likely it is an electric top, mine is and it is easy to operate.

First, unzip the rear window so as not to crush it and cause cracks. It also folds down much better that way.

Turn the ingnition to the first click. Look under the dash on the drivers side and you will set a rocker switch the toggles back and forth. This will make the top go up and down. It will not work if the ignition is not in the first click postion. A red light comes on the speedo as I recall and it starts working. I do it without thinking so I don't recall which way you push the rocker for each operation, it you push it the wrong way, it just won't work, so then push it the other way. The light will go out when the top is all the way up or down. If it doesn't work at all, you will need to look into the electric motors that operate each side of the top, or also look at the fuses first.

If it is a manual top, there will be two handles just above the winshield, flip those and unzip the window and simply throw the top back.

Good luck to you.
